Green Valley Academy has been chosen by area parents, school districts and medical professionals as a prime educational placement for students in need of a small, nurturing educational environment. Students who have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and those who have not been given an IEP have been successful in this unique setting.
Our certified teachers and research based programs offer a successful alternative. Our clinical and educational staff focus on individualized support for students and their families. We have been serving the Main Line since 1987 and are located one block from the Paoli train station.
Since each student is instructed to meet PA educational benchmarks using strategies that benefit their specific learning style and educational strengths and weaknesses, most of our students have gone on to successful college careers.
If your child feels anxious, has some learning or emotional concerns or just enjoys learning with a 6 to 1 student/teacher ratio, GVA is the place for them!
Our program has attracted hundreds of children who work well in a structured but more relaxed atmosphere. GVA offers an academically rigorous environment without the "pressure cooker" atmosphere. Learning and emotional support is offered to all who attend. GVA students do not have severe "acting out" behaviors, so each student has a feeling of safety with those students who need a small, peaceful place to learn.
Parents registering their child at GVA may be able to do so through their local school district. Many parents have also chosen GVA as their environment for homeschooling. Students can receive their PA State Diploma through Homeschooling or may earn their diploma through their local school district. Either way, most of our students go on to attend college. Some colleges accepting GVA students include: Drexel University, Temple University, St. Joseph's University, Villanova, Chestnut Hill College, New York School of Film, Brown University, Immaculata University and Cabrini College Our students graduate with the greatest gift of all... a positive sense of self.
